ADSS All-Dielectric Self-Supporting Aerial Optical Fiber Cable

This cable adopts a loose-tube stranded structure. Optical fibers are placed inside loose tubes made of high-modulus polyester. Loose tubes and fillers are stranded around FRP to form a compact cable core filled with water-blocking gel. A PE inner sheath is extruded over the cable core, then two layers of aramid yarn are wrapped, and a PE or AT outer sheath is extruded in the final step.

Characteristics

  • Fully considers field conditions of power lines, suitable for high-voltage lines of various voltage classes
  • PE sheath for 10 kV–35 kV applications
  • AT sheath for 110 kV–220 kV applications
  • Precisely designed aramid yarn and optimized stranding process adapt to different span lengths

Standards

  • DL/T 788-2001, All-dielectric Self-supporting Optical Cable
  • GB/T 18899-2002, All-dielectric Self-supporting Optical Cable
  • IEC 60794-4-20-2012, Optical fibre cables – Part 4-20: Aerial optical cables for power supply networks (ADSS)
